The significance of Maritime and Turkish Cabotage Day, celebrated following the enactment of Cabotage Law No. 815, which entered into force on July 1, 1926, is well recognized by the entire maritime community and by all seafarers who deeply value our national heritage and sovereignty. 

The right to benefit from our seas and the opportunities they provide, while developing national maritime policies and projects that contribute to the advancement of our maritime industry, should remain our guiding principle.

As a country surrounded by seas on three sides, possessing two strategically important straits, a young population, and tremendous potential, our objective is to maximize the benefits of these advantages and strengthen our competitiveness in the industry.
