Strategic Cooperation Agreement Signed Between Alkoç Group and Panama Maritime
Comprehensive agreements have been signed between Alkoç Group and Panama Maritime covering cooperation in a wide range of areas—from flag registration to surveying and training—targeting the markets of Turkey, the Black Sea, and Europe.
Alkoç Group has taken another significant step to globally expand its full-scale technical and commercial services. As part of its efforts to broaden its international operations, the group has established new survey teams, especially for overseas activities.
To enhance activities related to flag registration, classification, training, and surveying, Panama Maritime Group (PMDS) has entered into key agreements with Maritime Lloyds. This agreement, marking an important milestone for operations in Turkey, the Black Sea, and Europe, was signed by Chief Engineer Gürhan Burak Alkoç, the founder of Alkoç Maritime, and Engineer Reynaldo Garibalda on behalf of PMDS.
Panama Maritime Group is one of Panama’s leading and well-organized groups, possessing extensive experience in ship registration before the Panama Maritime Authority and currently processing applications through its affiliated law firm Torrijos & Asociados, a well-known legal entity. Another affiliate within the group, the Maritime Training and Certification Center, is responsible for training courses, COC endorsements, renewals, and improvements, and holds broad experience in these areas.
The group’s sister company, IMI, which specializes in flag state inspection, aims to support operators, shipowners, or any companies involved in maritime and safety by addressing deficiencies and contributing to operational excellence.
